KSL: Democrats don't find Web redirect funny

Utah Democrats are wondering if a Web site blunder is a funny joke or dirty trick. A Web site similar to their own redirects people to John McCain's site.

The Utah Democratic Party Web site is utdemocrats.org. But type in "utahdemocrats.org" and it automatically redirects you to johnmccain.com.

"Oh yeah, it's one of those tricks that, you know, kind of a sneaky trick," said Wayne Holland, chair of the Utah Democratic Party.

Holland says if it is someone connected to McCain's campaign, they must be desperate because McCain isn't doing well in Utah.

The domain is registered to a Jeff Knight from Cedar City with an e-mail called "domain collector." Local Republican Party officials say they don't know him.

60,000 domains for 1.45M? My feeling is this must be one of the worst portfolios on the planet.
