If you have names sitting at Sedo with a few views per month, I would highly recommend giving Bido a try. As a frequent user of both platforms, my opinion is that Bido is light years ahead of Sedo in customer service. I have been able to move inventory on Bido- quickly- that had very little chance of being found/seen on Sedo, without the complicated commission formula, parking mandate, etc.

Bido actually seems to listen to its customers and does so with professionalism and class, something that is sorely lacking at some other sales platforms. They’ve come along way and they deserve a shot at your business.

Note: Not associated with Bido other than a buyer/seller. I know what it feels like to not get a sniff with a good domain and Bido has allowed me to sell many domains profitably.

Be Inspired By Coco Chanel (Lifetime Original)

We got home yesterday from a Shabbat dinner around 11 and wanting to watch Coco Chanel (DVD) for a week now, my girlfriend Michelle told me she probably would fall asleep during the movie. Needless to say that did not happen. We were both glued to the screen until the very last minute of the movie. Great movie for all, literally.

Priced To Sell, By You (Today On Bido: Require.Com, ZZJ.Com, Wine.US, Many Others)

Many have asked for better inventory and so, with the addition of a number new Bido team members (welcome Chantz, Larry!), we’re hard at work to do just that. Today is a glimpse at our effort in the last couple of weeks, and I can assure you we’re just getting started.

A few points before we get to the domains.

1. BidoPrice: The absolute minimum dollar amount a seller is willing to accept to send an item to auction (learn more)

2. Priced to sell, by you: Over 90% of domains listed on on Bido are voted on by the community via our Vote For Profits program (excluding auction accelerations).

3. Voting works: While overall Vote For Profits works extremely well (so far, Bido’s sales ratio is about 1:6 for 2010, on hundreds of domains already sold), we feel it can be improved. Being one of the most innovative companies in the space (according to a recent Domain name Wire survey), we have not yet said the final word here, and will surely continue and improve. Expect further innovation in this area in the very near future from us.

4. Bid high, bid often: Even if you believe the BidoPrice of an item is too high, if BidoPrice isn’t met, seller may still choose the highest bid within 24 hrs.
