Conferences are all about energy and TRAFFIC still has that MAGIC going for it. The atmosphere is extremely friendly, the energy to “make deals” is there, and everyone, especially in this economical climate, is hungry for deals. For me, I really enjoy spending time with various industry professionals, especially the few bloggers who I’ve never met before (Morgan Linton, Shane, Aaron from IDNTools.com). We had a fun time at yesterday’s opening party and can’t wait to go out today and meet more, mingle more.
Have a great day!

1. The interest gauge is extremely useful. Go over it, find the winning patterns, and you will see you can largely ignore the item’s name/description/etc., and just focus on the interest gauge to find identify the better items.
2. There are lots of four letter .com domains today, and lots of buyers interested in them. Today should be record activity in this category and we expect as more of these sell, more buyers/sellers of four letter domains will show up and participate. As they say, a rising tide raises all ships.
We have a long day ahead of us, meetings, working on simplifying the site and concepts further, as well as we have a fun surprise for TRAFFIC attendees, which we hope they will like. Will post pics/videos tomorrow.
Have a great day, and happy bidding!
Best,
Sahar
Here’s how it works:
Have one of your friends sign up to Bido today (they must be a new member), make sure they tell you their new Bido nickname, and email us (Support@Bido.com) the following:
Your Bido nickname, your friend’s new Bido nickname.
You’ll both receive a coupon code good for five Bido Credits each.
Promo good for Wednesday January 20th 2010 only.

In other news, some visual enhancements are now available on the site, check it out, let us know what you think. We added the interest gauge to upcoming and ending soon auctions, and we also renamed the tabs to make browsing the site easier to understand.
Also, we’re travelling for the next few days, you can find us at TRAFFIC LV. Looking forward to meeting everyone, be sure to stop by and say Hi!
Best,
Sahar
Coming Soon To Bido: Making Your Life Easier With New And Improved Visual Enhancements (Screenshots)
First, the new Interest Gauge:

(Screenshot from our testing area, not actual domains)
This is a gauge of the interest on an item up for auction. It includes five indicators:
1. Bidding: An indicator of the volume of bids on the item.
2. Watching: An indicator of how many people added this item to their Watchlist (inactive indicator at the moment, Watchlist coming soon)
3. Voters: An indicator of how many people voted for the item. The fewer the amount of voters, the greater the interest (because voters placed more votes per voter).
4. Speed: An indicator of how quickly an item passed through the voting process.
5. Views: Indicates how many people viewed the item by visiting its dedicated page or expanding its listing in the tab to read more about it.
Second, color indicators for participants. If you participate on an auction and are the top bidder, you will see the green background on the “Place Bid” button. If you are the top but your high bid is under the seller’s BidoPrice, you will see red. If you are not top (someone else is above you), you will also see a red background.
Lastly, we’ve updated BidoPrice page today. Check it out, let us know what you think.
Have a great day,
Sahar
