February 19th: Bringing Bido Back

We put many months of hard work in bringing the Bido “social auction” platform back (first auction: EquityGrant.com). While most has been done on the back-end infrastructure and isn’t noticeable by users, some small changes such as live chat and trackbacks are.

As I wrote before, there are many more upgrades scheduled in the coming months. As always, we rely on your feedback to make Bido better, we’re definitely listening and taking notes.

Questions, comments, please let us know. We look forward to serving you once again!

Cheers

    Good luck with the site.

However, it looks like business as usual, the one a day model sucks unless you can produce good to great domains for auction and even then it is boring to see how slow things progress. Bido is like watching paint dry. If Sedo implemented a similar ‘5 a day no reserve’ model alongside it’s existing structure it would be all but impossible to compete against them. I suspect people in general want and expect more than what is being offered at present. Maybe.

    James,

The one domain per day won’t last for long. Our plan is to open the platform soon for others to list however, as we are just getting things back to normal we have to take it one step at a time. Patience..

    Thanks,

    Sahar

    Sahar,
The RSS is broken on bido.com. Was gonna subscribe to the domain auctions - but no dice. Heads up!

It works here but maybe we are looking at different areas? In any event, thanks for the heads up, we will check all RSS feeds to find out what the issue is.

    Cheers,

    Sahar

Bido is a very good idea, considering how crowded marketplaces tend to be - and combined with a RSS flux, it allows one to see quickly domains for sale in the next few days. And expert comments create an attractive “plus”.
Obviously, just one domain a day is not a modeal that will last for long. But a few domains a day should be the right way to go.
    Good luck!

I LOVE the one domain a day idea. I think it gives max exposure to the domain, as it should. I’m sure you have room to grow (10 more domains a day) and it will still have an effect. But this model rocks: for domainers, by domainers. Domainers know what domainers want. No better way to weed through the BS other sites have.
