Is it generic, descriptive domain names or is it the fact that it has a .gov and that on this space there are good domain names?

There is an interesting article on WebTrafficConsultants.com that shows the search engine marketing and history/mistakes of the domain purchases by the new administration.

By purchasing the new domain names they are making a brutal mistake. They should have covered buying the .com versions also since they are get blasted by misdirected traffic.

Change.gov -> Whitehouse.gov -> Recovery.gov
