@Jarred - does Bido still plan to market each auction? I remember before you were marketing them on Adwords like Dickinson the geo names.

@ John Kane - Crashes were not a problem, nothing "crashed" so to speak, the problem was a capacity issue, we had an issue where some people could not access the site for the last domain that was up for auction before our hiatus. We then pulled the plug on that final auction. Now that we've moved forward from that point, among other things, we've rebuilt the architecture to handle a lot more load now, though. The new system has been redesigned from the ground up; connectivity, hardware, and software - and tested extensively. We've ran load, performance, stress, volume, reliability, smoke, sanity, regression, and acceptance testing to our utmost satisfaction. I think you'll be happy with the end result! For what it's worth, the following is a photo of some of our team members that have been keeping busy with the efforts.

How about a moment for a round of applause, they deserve it :)

@ Michael Sumner - Thank you! We look forward to having you back as an expert. It was always nice to read your commentaries. As you know, expert members benefit from their commentaries because they get a clean link back to their website as well as their news piped in from their RSS feed, with links back to the entries. This is very good for SEO and we're happy to offer this as a value and give back to the expert participants with the exposure and these permanent and clean links. Keep in mind our slogan is that Bido is a "Social Auction Platform" and so having expert members and interaction is a core aspect of Bido. We'll always feature this and we'll actually keep expanding on it, at least for a long time. It's not only A) buyers and B) sellers that get value from Bido, its also the C) expert participants as well as D) those that come each day to read and learn from the commentaries that get value. :)

@ Everyone else that left a comment, we thank you very much for your interest and kind words. Even if you didn't leave a comment, we thank you for reading and your interest in Bido. What we have is really a revolutionary platform. There's a lot of additional innovative and exciting things we'll offer with Bido as time goes by. Best Regards, and Happy New Year!
