TopSecret.Org on Bido Today, And a Couple More Bido Updates..

topsecret.gif

The domain TopSecret.Org was put on the auction block by the folks at Magicians.com, today’s Bido sponsors. This is what Ryan Ogaard of Magicians.com had to say about today’s auction:

I registered the domain name TopSecret.org over 10 years ago with the intent of using it to develop a private club/organization for professional magicians to discuss and collaborate on the secrets of magic! Since that time, I’ve been very fortunate to have developed this community for magicians which has now reached over 1000 members! My mission going forward is to continue to commit my resources to further improving and developing Magicians.com.

In regard to Bido domains, we are getting great submissions however submitters should concentrate on quality vs. quantity. We still have to go through many before we choose one that fit.

We have just secured a top domain for Bido, one which should go for a solid five figures and as always, it will start at 1$, No reserve. I will have more details on it soon.

Happy bidding!

Edit: Closing price US $1,966.00

    Sahar,

By the looks of Bido.com today you’re surely going to make TopSecret.org disappear and reappear in the hands of one lucky winner! I recall a past post of yours that you referred to your team of developers as “Magicians”… they certainly are! I’ve truly enjoyed going along for the ride as mostly a spectator, and now participant, with Bido!

Working with you and your team to allow Magicians.com to sponsor Bido.com for a day has been a lot of fun! You’re true professionals!

Keep your magic wands in hand as I’m sure you’re going to continue to experience many more magical days of success in the future!

    Hi Sahar

the anything.com sure is getting a lot of interest

I’m sending this as it’s the easiest way to contact you - and i’m not looking for this comment to be published lol

I’ve been following your bido project closely and wondered if you might be interested in listing any of the following domains - naturally I don’t have a reserve price for any and I’m happy enough to list any for what the market says they mmight be worth

    edit: - list removed -

    take it easy

Now that the auction has concluded, what are my thoughts, from the seller of the domain TopSecret.org? I’m very pleased. The process of getting the domain into Bido’s platform was flawless… As well, the individuals I spoke too were very professional and responsive.

Of course, there was some contemplation from me when considering which of my domains I would put up at no reserve and no guarantee… but I understood this when going into the auction and am happy with the final sale. As I’ve already said in my blog at Magicians.com, I put the domain up for auction because I needed to sell off some of my portfolio of names to concentrate my investments and energy on the continued development of Magicians.com. When you’re bootstrapping that development and operating on a tight budget, having the opportunity to instantly sell a domain is very nice. The Bido platform gave me just that opportunity.

As well, by sponsoring the site for a day, I received some very strong recognition in the business world for Magicians.com. Having Sahar and Bido on my team certainly helps to add crediblity and trust to my brand!

P.S. I look forward to reinvesting the proceeds from this sale into the development of the Magicians.com Magic Shop! We’re planning to launch late this summer! If you love magic, be sure to stop by! You’re always welcome at Magicians.com!

    Ryan Ogaard,

I get around 30 emails for each auction if I placed a bid. You don’t need to send me an email each time someone places a bid, nor an automatic one when an auction starts when I haven’t even bid on it.

    Hi Matt,

You can adjust email notification in your profile.

Let me know if you need help with this,
