Some Domains Are Born Brands…

anything-com.gif

My good friends who own anything.com put up a new page (new to me anyways) presenting some of their top domains.

I found their slogan to speak louder than words. It is short, it sends a clear message of the power of domains.

Now if you are curious what are some of the domains they own, click here to find out.

Warning: Before clicking, make sure you have something to clean up that drooling..

Impressive! Their strategy to leave the imagination in the eye of the beholder is brilliant. Each person that sees their site will come away with a unique vision for those priceless domains.
    “Anything” becomes a brand.

I’d love to say each one is worth a Billion USD.

But the truth is the price all depends on what the market will pay. And right now the market for premium domains is not doing very well.

And the market in premium domains is all domainers paying through the nose hoping to flip to another domainer.

Microsoft is paying 50 billion to buy the Domain name Yahoo.com. The domain Business.com was purchased for 350 million.

Do/did the purchasers want the domain name or the services provided by the company owning the domain name?

Yes, there are still domainers ( most are now smartly incorporated), who make a million a day. But if you dig deeper, they’re not doing it by sitting on premium domains with natural type-in traffic.

Thats great list. All of them have great potential and become primary branded domains. Imagine convering these premium domains into a franchise model, selling sub domains and still keeping main domains, the owner can get yearly fee for sub domain listings while promary domain converts into decent site and make money as well…

Totally agree, some domains are born brands and owners of those domainers are sitting on goldmine.

    Thanks for sharing Sahar.

why are those names parked and not developed?

    —-answer—-

It’s their choice. Development is hard, also require right timing. One day I’m sure they will either develop or sell.

    Sahar

Wow, very nice collection ! Skincare.com must get an amazing amount of traffic.

Any idea what sort of traffic those names are getting Sahar ?

ps - You might want to let your friends know that when viewed in Internet Explorer the domains are all distorted, blurred and almost unreadable, looks great in FireFox though.
