Gazzip said, "don’t you think that with no Bido Guarantees at all to sellers then the quality of names will not get any better than they have been?."

I'm thinking Bido will only work well for good, quality names as it wouldn't be a good place to auction a marginal name without the price guarantee.

As Bido goes along it will get a well deserved reputation for better and better names and the immediate market within the Bido Bidders Community will come prepared to pay market prices for those higher quality names.

And one more thought. A lot of people complain that this auction or that auction has poor, lousy, low quality names. The auction house can only sell what is bought to the floor.

Our job as domainers is to take the tools we have to acquire the best names we can afford and then make them more valuable by promotion, development or else shrewd market timing.

Hi Sahar, I can only assume if you don't post my comments that you were perhaps offended by them ?

They were very logical questions and not meant to offend you in any way at all. Please accept my opologies if they did.

Already replied Gazzip, I think it's good to communicate, I did not take offense of any of your questions!

Hi Sahar, don't you think that with no Bido Guarantees at all to sellers then the quality of names will not get any better than they have been ?.

From one of your earlier posts you said (something like) there were hundreds of thousands of names submitted but you did see any that were good enough or had a reasonable asking price.

Have all the names listed so far been your own ones ?

How are you going to encourage people to list a name for $1 with no guarentee especially considering that names have also to be transfered to Moniker first ?

Also with only 1 a day there must be a very looong waiting list to get listed !

I think the experts comments is a great feature and very interesting to follow but it would be nice if you could show a little background info about each expert so we all know who they are.

Good luck with it.

----answer----

Sellers will make their own calculations what to list and what not to list. As far as quality, we're happy with the quality of domains listed and sold so far. If you think about it, at a starting price of 1$, none of them was a bad value to buyers. As for domain listings, we took some of our domains to kick-start bido. A number of domains from submissions are making it to Bido this week and soon we hope all listings will be of others.

All experts have bio pages. While not all as of now filled up the space we do encourage experts to complete profiles (include pictures, bio).

As for domain transferred to Moniker, this is something we are working on to improve. It is not a must to move to Moniker and we do have accounts elsewhere to make life easier. If your domain is chosen to be listed we will work out the details on an individual basis.

Hope that helps,

Cheers
