This is certainly something needed. I remember about 3 years ago creating a set of instructions for operating my businesses in the event of my passing to the other (and better) life :). These instructions also detailed base prices for my Internet assets, ranges in valuations, and price expectations. I also included contact information of key people who could be hired to continue updating the sites :) This was sealed and given to my closest (and completely trusted) relatives. Congratulations! Since my computer literate kids are geographically scattered it means they can immediately make changes no matter where they are. I like having an off-site backup too in case of fire or other disaster at home. You have to trust the other party to be secure of course.
