Afternoon folks!!
Just between us girls….
Over 100 people have asked me for free passes to T.R.A.F.F.I.C. WEST and 100 times I was forced to say no. Other shows have products to sell and they can afford to give away hundreds of free passes to fill their seats. TRAFFIC has nothing to sell as we are in business to promote and further the domain industry.
As much as I am a person who tries to say yes, we have very substantial costs putting on shows of this magnitude and if we say no to one we say no to all. If we say yes to one we have to say yes to all. I hate always being in the position to say no. It sucks. But I have no choice. I would ask domainers and others to stop putting me in this position. It’s really not fair to me and I don’t know why some think they should get in for free while others pay. To me, this is really getting out of hand and I would ask folks to stop putting me in such an uncomfortable position. It’s really not very nice. Please stop.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank Sahar Sarid for requiring TRAFFIC registration as a requirement for anyone attending his Bido.com party and we hope all other sponsors and vendors will follow his good example.
Thanks for your future consideration!
Rick Schwartz
(Thanks Rick for the mention).
It’s no secret Rick and I are good friends, we’ve known each other for years and have great respect to one another. The reason we are going to Las Vegas is the TRAFFIC show. For few businesses I’m involved with, the TRAFFIC show has been responsible for well north of 10 million dollars in business. Rick did not ask me or anyone in my organization to only allow TRAFFIC attendees to our party. The idea to do so was mine and between our partners it was accepted instantly. We don’t do it because we have to, we do it because it is THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
And as for “free tickets”, Rick, can I have one? just kidding
Cheers
Sahar

Darn it, Rick…looks like there’s no sense then in reg’ing RicksFreeTickets.com, eh?
