Holiday Season Is The Time To Pick Up Deals

happy holidaysHoliday season, wife (or girlfriend, husband) wants you off the computer, give some time to the family, the kids, the guests. “Come with me shopping” she says, like you really care? But like the good husband she married, you take the time, take some time off, “living” - this is what it’s all about, isn’t it?

But wait! What are other domainers do, those who usually go neck and neck with you daily at 3PM in the auction houses? Exactly.. they go through the same cycle as you - it’s holiday season to all!

From the perspective of picking up dropped domains, online auctions, following trends and picking up new registrations, holiday season is the best to stay connected, not as much as ever, but more than ever. If you want a proof why holiday season is so great just see the amount of news out there, it drops significantly. It drops because people are away.

So, maybe it’s too late for you to take advantage of this holiday season (did you make those promises to wife already?), however, it is something for you to consider, for future holiday seasons.

Happy holidays, or should I say, happy fishing? :)

Oddly Christas Day and Boxing Day have been amongst my busiest.

Run up to Christmas is always dead, but once the rest of the family has fallen asleep in front the TV, many a domainer goes Online!

You aren’t kidding about a good time to buy. I was out shopping this afternoon and lost out on ShippingMaterials.com in the private auction of which I was a part of. It only went for $710.00. ARGHHHHH!

Agree with RM. I went back to check the day…lost 10 of 12. Oh the value of a well preped admin on these days. I have 2 others who get names for me, but we all took the day off it looks like. Ended up with just 5 of our targeted 17 total today. Normally, we hit 85%.

Want some good ones tomorrow too…whats a person to do.

    Merry Christmas!

I’m bottom feeding compared to you guys, picking up expired two-keyword adult domains, but Sahar’s advice reminded me to pay extra attention to my watch lists this past few days. And it paid off, too.

Like anybody working watch lists against expiring domains, I’m used to getting a fairly consistent small percentage of the domains I’m interested in. Last few days, I’d say that percentage tripled.
