We have created what we are calling the Domain Parking Stock Index. The index which is a weighted based on market cap, includes publicly traded companies which either have large domain portfolio’s or which make a substantial part of their income from “parked”? domains. The initial index includes Google, Inc. (goog), Yahoo, Inc. (yhoo), Baidu.com, Inc. (bidu), Dark Blue Sea (dbs.ax), Marchex, Inc. (mchx) and banks.com (bnx).

Great idea. Why didn’t I think of that? As soon as Name Media’s IPO is approved, It would be nice to see them included. It will be fun to see how those stocks fare with the overall market.
