Hi,
I'll try to submit a logo on sitepoint sometimes soon.
But i can't help to say that it is interesting on how you turn your life from rags to riches from this domain business.

I myself want to be like you someday ( still looking for opportunity ), but my skill is only at graphic designing and illustration

anyway, i post in here just want to tell you that people like you convince me to not just give up finding ways for better life

... best luck

great idea Sahar...gotta say I like Tias best so far...are you gonna have a public vote on it?

----answer----

No public vote, but probably a poll before we choose one. Not to say I will go with what poll says, but could be interesting.

I think the logo would look much better without the .com in it.

----Answer----

You are probably right however, there's a good argument why to leave the domain as-is in the logo. I'll write about it soon.

Wow, a $2500 prize for a logo design! That's unheard of for the logo design. Best of luck.

Just my humble opinion here, but most good designers will not work on spec. You're missing out on a lot of quality designers when using spec designers. Those designers should also realize they are working for free. Most eventually do and graduate to the next level. I don't really know why anyone would do any work with so little direction on the HOPES of getting you to pick them. Imagine any profession working on spec. . . . . "Please build me a house sir. I won't tell you what I want it to look like. Just build it and if I like it, I will pick you" ;) Just find an artist/designer you like and can work with and pay them well. It's obviously worth it.

I gave this some thought too Adam. The arrangement with logo contests isn't forced on participants. They chose to participate, the system was there long before I joined in. Obviously it works for them for whatever reason. May some do it on their free time for fun or as a side income, maybe they do are able to make a good living by making lots of cookie cutter logos that takes 5-10 minutes to make, I don't know. Bottom line though it works and so far I'm happy with what I'm seeing.
Cheers

Agreed. The current submissions are already good, can't wait to see how it all looks at the end.

Sahar,

What a great, fantastic, unique, out of the box, viral multipronged publicity generating device you have created, whether you know it or not. You have just tapped into one of the largest and greatest group of Internet Sneezers in the world.

I for one appreciate you spreading the "good word" about your philosophy and domaining to a group that has the most to gain and the most to lose if they don't learn their domain lessons well.

Cheers!

This was taken into consideration when I put the contest out there. Next year I plan to do as much to expose other groups to the industry in many different ways. I think this is what each of us should do as the more participants, the more dollars chasing the same inventory (good names).
Cheers
