Following McAfee TopuSquatting report it seems like one of the domains mentioned, microsoft.cm, now resolves to GDR Agency, Cameroon’s largest registrar of .cm domains worldwide.
If the issue is confusion, there is no doubt the current web site does not try to pass off as Microsoft, however, is it really a good defense against a company which want your domain? From cost-effective viewpoint, Microsoft are better off registering the domain with GDR then go after them. The tactics used here are not pretty nor something to brag about, however, to me, as the real issue is confusion (as long as avoided), it seems like a fair game.
