I had break away to congratulate Ari for his charity purchase today. The auction in London just ended with the winning bid at 60,000 GBP ( about $123,000). The funds go to charity.
About the Auction and Charity:
SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY AND THE CROWD GOES WILD GIBSON GUITAR SCULPTURE BY ROSIE BROOKS
Acrylic and matt varnish on fibreglass, signed by Sir Paul McCartney
3100 mm by 1070 mm
The bidder (Ari) will be required to donate the guitar to Great Ormond Street Hospital. They will be invited to present the guitar to the hospital on the 17th December 07 with Sir Paul McCartney at the hospital’s Christmas event with many of the children present. The bidder will receive a special Gibson Les Paul signed by Sir Paul McCartney at the event and an engraved plaque with the bidders name on it will be placed in the hospital by the 10ft guitar to mark the donation.
I love the artwork on the guitar, beautiful colors, subjects. Happy happy!

Congratulations Ari, I feel as you won this one on the behalf of all of us in the domain industry and maybe, just maybe, when you meet Paul Mccartney you can chat with him about domains (I’m sure you will!) and convert another one? Either way, great going, enjoy London!

It’s beautiful to see the more successful domainers in our business stepping up and doing great things like this. Congrats on the win Ari, and the story Sahar.
What a wonderful thing to do, Ari. My daughter, Milly, has been a patient at Great Ormond Street since her birth, 9 years ago. Things like this remind us that there are many good people out there. We were at the GOSH Christmas party and met Sir Paul (who was lovely). The guitar is beautiful and I’m sure it will help distract the minds of both parents and children when walking through ‘those doors’!
Bless you and thank you from the heart, Vicky x
