Do you want to buy my domain?

At another company which I was invovled with, where we had
thousands of domain names,  we used to get tens of emails a day asking to
purchase domain names.
Most, by far, were ignored. The pattern used to be an unidentified domain buyer
writes to us from a gmail/hotmail/msn/aol/yahoo email account (as anonymous as possible in most cases), asking if
the domain is for sale and if so, a price?
Most of those were tire kickers. They would offer few hundred dollars or
sometimes few thousands for properties which were hundred of times more valuable.
If you want to buy a domain from a domain owner I suggest to separate yourself
from the masses, right from the very start. In the FIRST email to the domain owner, identify yourself, your company, leave a phone number to
contact, and MAKE a bona fide fair-market, or a HIGHER offer.

If you wait for a response before making an offer, you most likely NOT to get it. Show you are different right from the get-go.

Try this out for a
change and you will see the response rate will look much better.
